Paint the town with Anne Blair Brown!
October 7, 8 & 9, 2010, 9 AM to 4 PM, Tomales, CA • Fee: $400 In this workshop students will learn how to turn an ordinary street scene into a beautiful painting. While furthering your understanding of solid oil painting, Anne will show you how to turn chaotic visual information into order and harmony. Focus will be placed on solid foundation, design, and color. Additional emphasis will be placed on brushwork, improvisational changes, and problem solving. The workshop will meet at Tomales Fine Art Gallery in Tomales, CA (http://tomalesfineart.com/1_directions.htm ). “My work centers on people, interior spaces, and urban landscapes. The goal with each painting is to transport the viewer to a relaxing place where sensory pleasures abound. As a former chef, my passion for restaurants and cafes is reflected in my work, as well as a love of the buildings and streets that mark everyday existence. When a viewer connects with my painting such that they feel present in the moment, I know I have been successful.” Following the workshop, Saturday, there will be an Artist Reception and Show, featuring Anne's work, at Tomales Fine Art.
